For performance reason, database heavy applications such as ArcGIS/QGIS are not suitable for storing data over the network. This applies to CacheDrive or any NAS or file server.
If top performance is not a concern, then Replicate share is a good choice for storing database if only single write site is needed.
For best performance, we recommend processing data on the local PC and copy the data folder to the CacheDrive share when processing is done.
