Use the Edit Security feature to modify a file or folder's NT ACL.

Notes:

  • The Edit Security feature is available to the Business Administrator and the Global Administrator. Starting from the 7.1.10 release, BA can manage GA's access to this feature with the option "Do not allow GA to access all files as admin" in MCM > Account Information.
  • Modifying the ACL through the Edit Security interface will automatically disable inheritance on the file or folder.
  • If inheritance is enabled for a subfolder, changes to the ACL of the parent folder will replace the ACL of the subfolder.  If the subfolder has a different ACL than the parent folder and inheritance is on, the differences in the subfolder will be lost.
  • If inheritance is disabled for a subfolder, changes to the ACL of the parent folder will not affect the subfolder.
