File/Folder Operations
The Team Portal supports several common file/folder operations such as rename, copy, move, and delete.
The following folder operations are not supported in Morro Connect:
- Share Link to a folder
- Delete folder (except for new empty folders)
Download
Select files and folders, then click Download to download them to your device.
Note: Up to 20GB or 1000 files may be downloaded at a time.
Share Link
Share Link creates a link that can be shared with someone outside of the organization.
- If you select one file and click "Share Link", a link to the file will be sent to the recipient.
- If you select multiple files and click "Share Link", a link to a zip file containing the selected files will be sent to the recipient.
Use the options in the dialog box to set the email addresses, subject, and message. You can also set the number of days before the link expires.
Limitations:
- The link will be emailed to the recipient once the file is prepared for download. The length of time depends on the file size. Larger files will take longer to prepare.
- The S3 China region does not support Share Link.
Rename
Select a file or folder and click Rename to rename it.
Copy/Move
Select a folder or one or more files and click Copy/Move to copy/move them to a new location.
Note: Files/folder can only be copied/moved within a pool.
When copying or moving a file or folder with the same name as an existing file or folder:
- If you copy a file or folder to the same folder in which it exists, the file or folder will be copied with " - Copy" appended to its name.
- Moving a file or folder to the same folder in which it exists is not supported.
- If you copy a file or folder to another folder in which a file or folder of the same name exists, a dialog appears asking if you would like to cancel or replace. If you click replace, the copied file will replace the existing file. If a folder is copied, the contents of the copied folder will be combined with the contents of the existing folder of the same name. If conflicts are found when combining the contents of the folders, the files from the copied folder will replace those in the existing folder.
Delete
Delete files from the share.
Note:
- To recover deleted files, administrators can go to the FILES page in MCM and click "Manage Versions".
- To permanently delete files, administrators can go to the FILES page in MCM and click "Purge".
